On 14th May 2019, ETI-GB signed MoU with SMT of Shahi Mehal village in Darel valley. Through this MoU a 5.07 km road will be built at the cost of Rs. 19.77 million. The proposed FMR is expected to be completed in seven months period. Upon completion the road will benefit 475 households.
It is worth mentioning that Shahi Mehal is a small remote village located in Darel valley of District Diamer which was deprived of jeep able road until recently. The proposed FMR will connect the farmers of Shahi Mehal village to the market for their agricultural produce which will ultimately generate ample income for their livelihood.
