From 21st to 22nd April, 2019. Mr. Ibrar Husssain, Secretary Planning and Development Department and Mr. Khadim Hussain, Secretary Public Works Department along with other officials visited various ongoing and completed projects of ETI-GB in Baltistan. During their two-day visit, the dignitries closely observed the work on diferent projects including Gole Solar Powered pilot project, irrigation projects in villages of Kharfaq, Ghazithang, Thagus, Lachat, Korkondo, and Saling as well as farm-to-market road (FMR) in Surmo. They expressed their satisfaction on the quality of work done by ETI-GB.
While speaking to Regional Programme Coordinator and SMTs, Mr. Ibrar Hussain said ‘connectivity through FMR schemes will generate business activities and will bring economic benefits to small farmers of the area. Both Secretaries also commended the infrastructure development activities of ETI-GB in remote villages of Gilgit-Baltistan
