Inauguration Ceremony of a project of ETI-IFAD in Sailing, Ghanche on 05th September, 2018.
Under this scheme construction of a new irrigation channel from Dumsum River to barren land sailing khaplu was executed. A total of 294 households would be benefiting from this project. The total length of the channel is 5.67 Kms with a command area of 994 Acres. Total cost of the scheme was 43,060,196 PKR.
In the inauguration ceremony Regional Program Coordinator (RPC) Mr. Barkat Ali welcomed the honorable Chief Minister (CM) Gilgit-Baltistan, Mr. Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman. RPC briefed the CM regarding the Sailing project and other ongoing schemes in the region.
The Chief Minister met with community representatives of Sailing inquiring about their notion regarding the scheme and its benefits. As he inspected the channel, he appreciated the efforts of ETI-GB and praised the quality work delivered in the project.
